SwissMarine has booked a capesize bulker at a rate that is far lower than its last fixture in the space.

The Geneva-based chartering giant booked the 175,000-dwt Hugo Selmer (built 2010) for 11 to 15 months at $7,000 per day, according to Baltic Exchange data.

The ship, which will be delivered to the charterer off China between 15 and 20 December, is controlled by Germany’s Oskar Wehr Reederei.
