Japanese bulker owner NS United Kaiun has seen earnings chopped on lower revenue in the first nine months of its financial year.

It said net profit to 31 December was JPY 4.05bn ($33.5m), from JPY 8.03bn in 2014.

Revenue was down at JPY 107.18bn, against JPY 120.71bn.

For the full year, it is forecasting earnings of JPY 4.2bn, against an actual result of JPY 8.62bn
