Malaysian Bulk Carriers has secured a long term contract of affreightment (COA) worth MYR 563m ($144m) from a state-owned energy company.
The Robert Kuok-backed bulker owner will transport 1.5mtpa of steam coal from Indonesia to Malaysia for TNB Fuel Services over a 15 year period.
The contract is due to start on 1 September 2016 and run until the end of August 2031 and would operate on a consecutive voyage charter basis.
