The Onassis group's Olympic Shipping & Management put a kamsarmax bulker into a period charter for 10 to 15 months.
Quadra Commodities chartered the 84,100-dwt Olympic Glory (built 2011) for $6,050 per day.
The deal could bring in a total of $1.8m to $2.72m.
The charter rate represents a 22% premium over today's average panamax time-charter equivalent rate in the spot market, according to data from the Baltic Exchange.
