BW Dry Cargo has wasted little time in setting its first bulker to work on time charter.
As TradeWinds reported this week the owner has netted its debut deal with the capture of the 82,000-dwt Meteor (built 2010) from Orion Bulkers.
Brokers say the vessel has been renamed BW Acorn and fixed to Glencore a one-year time charter.
A rate of $6,000 per day is being placed on the contract, with a second optional year at a higher $7,000 per day.
