Diana Shipping has seen its loss for the second quarter more than double, in line with analysts’ projections.

Red ink for the bulk carrier owner ran to $31.3m from March to June, compared to deficit of $14.1m at the same stretch of 2015.

Low dry rates took a toll on Diana’s revenue which was $28.3m, against $38.6m a year earlier.

For the first six months of the year, Diana’s net loss was $62.7m,
