Two major German shipping groups have revealed plans to join their short-sea activities.
The Hartmann Group in Leer and Schulte & Bruns in Papenburg will begin the joint venture from the start of 2017, a statement says.
The agreement will see a major part of Hartmann’s MPP fleet commercially managed by Schulte & Bruns on an exclusive basis.
For its part, Hartmann will take over the nautical and technical management, including crewing, of the Schulte & Bruns MPP fleet.
