US-listed offshore vessel shares rode the wave of a stock rally in Wall Street that saw investors react positively to a deal by Opec.

Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS) led the upward march by surging 19.6% to $6.11 afternoon trading, tacking on $36.4m in market capitalisation in a single day.

Larger rival Tidewater surged 15.7% to $2.65 on the New York Stock Exchange.
