Shipowner Valentios “Eddie” Valentis has tied up a time charter for a product tanker newbuilding in his private fleet, brokers say.
MTMM is said to have taken the 50,300-dwt Pyxis Lamda (built 2017) on a 12 month contract.
It will pay in excess of $13,000 per day for the vessel, which it will take on directly out of SPP Shipbuilding in South Korea in early 2017.
