Shipping tycoon John Fredriksen has vowed not to retire for at least the next three years as he concentrates on the most complex task of his long career.

Fredriksen, who today saw DHT Holdings reject a takeover offer from his tanker company Frontline, will not be hanging up his hat before overseeing restructuring work at rig company Seadrill.
