Lars Solbakken voiced confidence in the remainder of Ocean Yield’s offshore counter parties after it issued a notice of termination to an Ezra-linked venture today.

Oslo-listed Ocean Yield served notice to EMAS Chiyoda Subsea, in which Ezra holds 40% and NYK a 25% slice, to end a charter for the 11,000-dwt Lewek Connector (ex-AMC Connector, built 2011).

Following the decision Ocean Yield will carry a $35m provision in its fourth quarter accounts.
