Lloyd Fonds ups dividend as profit grows

German shipping asset manager rewards investors after stronger 2016.

Hamburg shipping asset manager Lloyd Fonds is increasing its dividend payout after a stronger 2016.

The company said it will hand over EUR 0.16 ($0.17) per share, up from EUR 0.07 in 2015.

Lloyd Fonds announced preliminary 2016 net profit of EUR 3.2m last month.

Earnings per share are expected to be EUR 0.35, against EUR 0.17 in 2015.

In the first six months, it more than doubled net profit to EUR 1.8m, against EUR 0.7m in the same half of 2015.

The "significant improvement" came from management fee income, particularly in the property sector.
