Greek owner Diana Containerships has agreed a securities sale to bring in funds of up to $150m.

The buyer is little-known Kalani Investments of the British Virgin Islands, which has previously bought into DryShips and Top Ships.

Diana said it is selling 3,000 new series B-1 convertible preferred shares for $3m.

But it will only reach the $150m figure if Kalani exercises warrants for 6,500 more B-1 shares and warrants to buy 140,500 new series B-2 convertible stock.
