Textainer Group Holdings says it has successfully raised $420m from the sale of a series of fixed rate asset backed securities (ABS).

It said the notes comprised of $350m in Class A and $70m in Class B notes rated A (sf) and BBB (sf) respectively by Standard & Poor’s.

The sf acronym relates to one of the requirements of European Union’s regulations to distinguish structured finance ratings from those of other securities.
