Arne Blystad-backed Songa Bulk is aiming to raise more money for further bulker purchases.
The Oslo-listed start-up said a deal to sell five-year bonds is being considered as part of its "previously communicated strategy to take on moderate leverage".
ABG Sundal Collier has been brought in to arrange a series of investor meetings about fixed-income debt in the Nordic countries, it added.
