Greek shipowners extend voluntary tax agreement with state

Greek shipowners have agreed to extend the duration of an additional voluntary tax contribution pact with the government by one year.

Members of the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS) approved the board’s proposal to include 2018 in the agreement with the state, originally signed in 2013.

Greek shipowners agreed at the time to pay a total of EUR 420m ($530m) in voluntary contributions and other taxes over four years.
