Greece's Diana Containerships saw its third-quarter losses diminish significantly from a year ago, when the company booked a major impairment charge.

The Nasdaq-listed boxship owner posted net loss of $8.7m for the quarter, compared to a loss of $126.8m for the same period in 2016.

Last year's negative figure included a $118.9m one-off charge on seven vessels out of its fleet of five panamaxes and six post-panamaxes.
