Private equity giant KKR has backed asset manager Joulon's takeover of UK shiprepairer Harris Pye.

KKR said it was supporting Joulon's ongoing acquisition activity and the injection of additional capital allowed it to complete the buyout of the engineering group.

KKR's head of South-east Asia, Ashish Shastry, said: “KKR is very pleased with Joulon’s progress in building a unique franchise that puts customers first by providing a high quality one-stop solution to meet their global asset management needs in the fast moving energy industry.
