Sovcomflot (SCF Group) has obtained a $106m loan with Russian bank Sberbank to build a high ice-class Arctic shuttle tanker for the Novy Port project.

The 14-year project financing agreement will fund construction of the Arc7 vessel under a long-term agreement with Gazprom Neft, both companies said.

This is the third major financing deal between Sberbank and Sovcomflot, the first being 2015 to fund building three Arctic shuttle tankers to carry crude oil from the Novy Port field.
