Gorgels appointment at the top of the new Global Transportation and Logistics Group was confirmed alongside the exit of former transport boss Gust Biesbroeck.

TradeWinds reported in the first week of January that Biesbroeck had informed clients of his surprise departure.

ABN Amro says Biesbroeck decided to leave as a result of the changes announced today.

“We are grateful for Gust’s contribution to the bank and wish him best of success in his future endeavours,” a statement said.

Gorgels has been leading the bank’s Nordic activates as country executive Norway for the past five years.
