Ports tycoon Li Ka-shing is handing over control of his business empire at the age of 89.
Asia's second-richest person is handing the reins to eldest son Victor Li, the BBC reported.
Li's wealth has been valued at $35.3bn by Forbes.
The Hong Kong magnate is said to be Asia's second-richest person through ownership of terminals company CK Hutchison Holdings.
