Concordia Maritime slimmed its first quarter loss despite an ongoing weak tanker market driven by lower oil output.

The Gothenburg-based tanker player posted a loss of SEK 38.7m ($4.56m) during the period, versus a SEK 41.2m deficit at the same stage last year.

"The tanker market began 2018 just as weakly as it ended 2017," chief executive Kim Ullman said.
