Financier Michael Schmidt has been appointed chief investment officer (CIO) of German asset manager Lloyd Fonds.
From 1 April next year, the 45-year-old will be responsible for its three new product lines.
Last month, Lloyd Fonds won backing for its open-ended fund strategy, but appears to be focusing more on property as it considers sales of existing assets.
