The $160m, 12-year export credit facility has been arranged with Finnvera, Finnish Export Credit (FEC) and ING.

The icebreaking supply vessels, Vitus Bering and Aleksey Chirikov, are being built by Arctech Helsinki Shipyard in Finland for delivery next year.

They will work in the Arkutun-Dagi offshore oilfield, part of the Sakhalin-I project, under a long-term charter agreement with Exxon Neftegas.

It is the second big loan deal the owner has announced this week, having refinanced existing debt to the tune of $700m with ING and others.
