Peter Weernink’s Swiss Marine has booked the 172,000-dwt Anangel Odyssey (built 2006) for 10 to 14 months at $10,500 daily, the Baltic Exchange reports.

The rate compares with the $7,344 daily available on the spot market right now.

It marks SwissMarine’s fourth capesize period deal of the year, according to data from Clarksons.

Anangel Shipping today has almost 40 large bulkers in the water with a further six to come from yards in China this year.
