Icon Investments shipping chief Tobias Backer, whose financial firm has taken Geden to court for unpaid lease payments amid the restructuring effort, says the Turkish owner’s financial challenges are not as severe as those of many in the shipping space.
“It’s a company that shouldn’t have these kinds of problems,” he said.
However, he says Geden has yet to present restructuring proposal that Icon considers viable.
