The outfit aims to bring its existing fleet of eight medium-range (MR) products tankers, three chemical tankers and four MR newbuildings into its US-listed fleet.
But more is planned. The proposed IPO proceeds are aimed at helping to add another dozen ships. The company has letters of intent to buy six ships of unspecified characteristics with options for another four, and Ardmore says it plans to acquire two MRs on the second-hand market.
