The UK-based, Dubai-owned company supplies navy ships in the Mediterranean andthe Middle East.

The New York Times reported navy spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby as saying Inchcapeand its affiliates will not be able to win any new business.

Kirby said that Inchcape had engaged in “conduct indicating questionablebusiness integrity,” but did not provide specifics.

AndrewBaud, a public relations consultant for Inchcape, said on Wednesday night thatthe company was “committed to ethical government contracting” and hadcooperated with the government’s examination of its business practices.
