Jurgen Weber, the former Lufthansa big-wig who assumed a top role in Germany’s largest liner company, believes an initial public offering (IPO) in 2014 is “barely feasible,”   according to German press reports.

In an interview with the Hamburger Abendblatt, Weber cites the difficult economic environment and a change in Hapag’s leadership next July when Rolf Habben-Jansen takes over from outgoing chief executive Michael Behrendt.
