The company also said it is issuing $30m of new shares to finance part of the cost.
The deals will give it six tankers, after it sold its entire fleet of five product tankers and one bulker to the AMCI Poseidon fund in September.
The additional vessels are a 39,000-dwt tanker and three 50,000-dwt ships.
They have been bought from Top Ships CEO Evangelos Pistiolis and unrelated third parties, Top said.
