Its bottom line swelled from EUR 794m to EUR 831m year-on-year, narrowly missing analysts’ projections of EUR 835m.
Nordea said in its report that overall loan loss provisions reduced to EUR 34m as conditions in shipping continued to improve.
Its shipping division recorded an operating profit of EUR 82m, beating the EUR 33m recorded at the same stage in 2013.
Nordea said its shipping operation developed very positively during the quarter, which saw no loss provisions related to the sector.
