Financial industry sources told the Seoul EconomicDaily that HMM will form a joint venture with Tokyo financier Orix to take overpart of Hyundai Group’s stake in Hyundai Logistics.
The price has been cited as KRW 650bn ($640m).
Hyundai Group could gain up to KRW 300bn from thedeal.
The move would go against the loss-making owner’srecent moves to offload assets to raise cash.
