The Miami-headquartered cruise giant said that an analysis of the cash flow associated with the 1,490-berth Grand Celebration (built 1987) showed that the vessel’s carrying value on company books was higher than its fair market value.
The vessel was built at the Kickums shipyard in Malmo, Sweden. It is one of the last commercial ships still trading that was built at the facility.
