The Estonian ferry operator booked a gain of EUR 6.1m ($8.1m) versus EUR 9.3m profit recorded at the same stage of 2013.

A spokesperson for the ferry owner says that it had expected the second quarter to show a year on year improvement in profitability, which did not occur.

Forecasts for the full year were also ahead of 2013. Now this has been revised and 2014 is projected to be weaker.
