In a note to clients, Illingworth said he joined the German lender as head of shipping in Asia this week in Singapore.
And he added: “In my new role you can expect me to show the same unwavering support for the shipping community, with the additional benefits of Deutsche's financial muscle and extensive corporate and investment banking product suite.”
Illingworth left DVB in June after joining as part of the acquisition of LTCB’s International Transportation business in 1998.
