Hanoi people’s court has upheld an arbitration verdict ordering it to compensate South Korean partner SK E&C, the Saigon Times reported.
SK said it suffered heavy losses after Vinalines tore up the VNA 1 trillion deal to build the Van Phong international transhipment terminal in 2012.
The contract was signed in 2009 by Vinalines, SK and Vietnam Waterway Construction Corporation, with a completion target of 20 months.
