When Pasha Hawaii Shipping filed its request with the US Maritime Administration (MarAd) in early 2012 the owner was asking for $125m.

The operator intended to apply the Title XI guarantees towards a ro-ro containership (con-ro) under construction at VT Halter Marine.

While Pasha Hawaii still appears on MarAd’s most recent list of pending applications a footnote indicates that the request “has been withdrawn”.
