Pucillo’s Solus Alternative Asset Management has revealed an 8,746,138 share holding in the tanker owner, giving it 9.21% of the New York-listed company.

Its stake is worth over $60m based on the last trade of DHT shares.

Pucillo and Solus is no stranger to shipping and recently emerged as a major shareholder in the restructured Eitzen Chemical.

It is also a shareholder in Euronav and was an initial investor in Nautical Bulk Holdings, a dry cargo venture launched by Wilbur Ross and the Conti Group in 2013.
