That was the appeal from Scorpio Tankers president Robert Bugbee while speaking to an overflow audience at Capital Link’s New York conference today, drawing agreement from most of his fellow panelists.
“This is the first time I’ve come here where there are more (companies backed by private equity) than actual shipowners themselves,” Bugbee said. “What’s going to be really important over the next three to six months is how those sponsored companies act.
