During his visit to China, Yannis Dragasakis appeared to have taken a u-turn on government plans to sell a majority stake in the country’s biggest port.
Dragasakis was quoted by China’s official Xinhua news agency as saying: "Cosco and other bidders can make a very competitive offer."
The Chinese giant is among the five parties that have expressed their interest in making an offer.
