Veteran Junichiro Ikeda will be named the company’s new president after more than 35 years at the Japanese conglomerate.
He will take over his new duties on 23 June from incumbent Koichi Muto.
Ikeda is currently serving as director and senior managing executive officer.
He graduated from the law faculty of Tokyo University in 1979 and immediately joined MOL.
During his long-term career at MOL, he has held a number of different roles including general manager of the human resources and liner division.
