Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) has posted a negative result for the six-month period ended September due to a lack of new orders.
The Japanese shipbuilder said it won contracts worth JPY 211.6m ($1.8m) between April and last month compared to JPY 255.2m a year earlier.
But sales for the period stood at JPY 381m, an increase of 8%.
MES posted a loss of JPY 1.1m
