A third senior US Navy officer has pleaded guilty to his part in the ‘Fat Leonard” scandal that saw kickbacks traded for lucrative naval contracts.

US Navy Commander Michael Vannak Khem Misiewicz, who was first arrested in September 2013, has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of bribery. Sentencing is scheduled for 29 April 2016.

According to admissions in his plea agreement, from January 2011 until September 2013, Misiewicz provided classified ship schedules and other sensitive information to Leonard Glenn Francis, the boss of Singapore-based defense contractor Glenn Defence Marine Asia (GDMA).
