Sir Michael Bibby says a need for size contributed to the "difficult decision" to sell Bibby Ship Management.
He believes today’s deal, for which he declines to disclose a price, gives the staff and the company the best opportunity to grow.
Bibby explained in an interview following the deal: “I think to thrive in the industry, even as a niche player, you need scale.”
