Korea’s DSME has failed to make an operating profit in the first quarter, despite the prediction of CEO Jung Sung-leep.
Jung said in March the shipbuilder would be in the black for the first three months, but it posted a loss of KRW 26.3bn ($23m).
It blamed extra costs involved in finishing certain offshore projects.
Analysts were expecting profit of KRW 5.54bn,
