Seaspan said it is seeking $80m in gross proceeds from its latest preferred share offering.

The New York-listed containership owner expects to pocket $77.6m after costs, according to a filing with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC).

The offering, which takes advantage of a prior shelf registration for the company's Series G shares, was priced today at $25 apiece, as expected.
