Malaysian energy giant Petronas is preparing to ship the world’s first cargo produced from a floating LNG (FLNG) production plant.
Shipping data show MISC’s 150,200-cbm Seri Camellia (built 2016) is alongside Petronas’ 1.2-million tonnes per annum (mtpa) PFLNG Satu unit off Bintulu in east Malaysia.
A Reuters report indicates that loading has started with South Korea suggested as the likely destination of the cargo.
