Japanese shipowner K Line has set up a new group within its LNG division to tackle the downstream element of the business.

From 1 April, the company’s Liquefied Gas New Business Division has swung into action under general manager Satoshi Kanamori.

Officials say the target business for the new set up will be floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), small scale LNG, floating power plants and the supply of LNG as marine bunkers.
