A Hyproc Shipping crewman has risked his life to save a whale entangled in a fishing net.
The seafarer leapt 40 feet from the deck of the 74,365-cbm LPG carrier Cheikh el Mokrani (built 2007) to free the mammal.
Another crewman also later jumped in to help release the whale.
It is not clear where the ship was at the time of the rescue last week, but it was off Spain on Monday.
