Energy major Total has gone out to shipowners for LNG carrier tonnage to cover the LNG cargoes it is buying from the US.
Sources say up to eight owners have been approached for a maximum of up to two firm vessels with an option on providing a further pair. However, they are able to offer a mix of combinations on the numbers of ships up to a total of four.
